about

Mohammad Taha is a Jordanian percussion master with an incredible exuberance for life. Both of these indelible qualities shine in his composition, Sirto. This piece was one of the first compositions to be introduced in the practice sessions and was immediately embraced. Sirto features Mohammed's darbukha (Middle Eastern hour glass shaped drum) and riqq (a forerunner and more complex ancestor to the tambourine.
